Productivity

I seem to have spent most of today in a blur of activity, but it’s all productive activity so that’s ok. A lot of my work time is currently split between giving talks and development work. These are two of my favourite things (and I want more of both in the new normal), but they can both be mentally taxing; especially if I have to keep switching between them. Development is easier at home (which is why I’m getting more of it done), but I’m still getting the hang of giving talks to an audience who can’t really react in the same way they would if they were in a room. Humour and rapport are harder, and I think I need a couple more of these under my belt before they feel normal.

In other news, I cycled after work today. The roads were quite busy, but the tip is only accepting cars by appointment so the huge queue I’ve been having to overtake most evenings was largely absent today which made for a much more pleasant ride.
