I’ve started going into work on Fridays now. I chose Friday because it’s a day when I have fewer meetings, and won’t therefore need to spend the whole day doing exactly what I would be doing if I was at home. It feels slightly strange, and the building is practically deserted, but I’m already at the point where I’m sure that this is what I’m going to do now until it is mandated that we have a greater presence in the office (which I am also fine with).
I have also learned that my residual fitness is sufficient to cycle over 18 miles with no ill effect, despite having been nowhere near a bike since March. The rides have been enjoyable, and I even added a couple of miles on to my journey home last night to take in a couple more hills and test my fitness further.
I’m having my second jab next week, after which time I think I’ll feel comfortable enough to start gentle social interactions again.
