I’ve spent a lot of time with my old Chromebook over the last few weeks. I like computers that are small, light, and can be replaced for under £200. In fact, that’s the only sort of computer I want to buy right now due to frugality and the need to carry everything I travel with on a bike.
Due to the computer’s age (5 years +) and the fact the battery is dead, I’ve just ordered a replacement. I’m quite excited to see what I can do with it, and how much of my digital life will work with it.
Also, it runs on Linux. Linux like Android phones and Kindles, but Linux nonetheless. In fact, by the end of this year I suspect all I’ll be carrying around are highly specialised Linux devices. I’ve been here before, but not for a few years.
