The weather has been a lot nicer over the last 24 hours. It’s still not particularly warm, but the clouds have cleared and I managed to fit in a decent bike ride after work yesterday as well as a long walk with the dog today. If I have sufficient energy tomorrow I’d like to do a longer ride into the countryside, and also try and cycle after work every day (with hopefully no bad weather or late meetings to get in the way).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Before lockdown I often didn’t cycle at weekends. But that was when I was cycling 18 miles a day, plus occasional pharmacy\/supermarket\/pub trips. I often hit 100 miles in a week, and so generally wanted to take at least one rest day at weekends. I think if I end up working some days from home then I’ll definitely want to add a decent length weekend ride into the plan; especially as the nights draw in and evening cycling becomes less attractive.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
When I was off work a couple of weeks ago I did a decent amount of cycling, and I really want to do the same again soon. I think my fitness is still ok, but I don’t want to slip any further from where I am.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
